In the world, there are several individuals who seem to have been bestowed with prophecies. I wish to provide a brief summary of a few among them.
【Siegfried Heinzel】
The founder of the Heinzel Empire, Siegfried Heinzel, was a man who lived approximately 500 years ago. Prior to his time, the current empire region was fragmented with city-states. However, he managed to unite these scattered states and establish the Heinzel Empire. The prophecy about him stated, “This child shall bring forth a new order.”
Born in what was then known as the Kingdom of Heinzel, the precursor to the Heinzel Empire, he successfully consolidated various city-states through negotiations. Looking into historical documents, it becomes evident that he was an incredibly charismatic figure, although the specific nature of his negotiations remains shrouded in mystery. He is said to have been an amiable individual.
Due to his accomplishment in establishing a federal nation, many historians believe that the prophecy was indeed fulfilled and hold it to be true.
【Heidemarie Heinzel】
The first Empress of the Heinzel Empire. A figure from approximately 300 years ago, she is undoubtedly the most notorious individual in the history of the Heinzel Empire. With an iron fist, she purged the empire’s internal conflicts. The prophecy spoke of her, saying, ‘This child shall know true love.’
Heidemarie was the seventh princess of her father, who reigned two generations prior to her (her father was infamous for having numerous consorts, and she stood as the twelfth among her nineteen siblings). After her father’s demise, her eldest brother ascended to the throne. However, his tyrannical rule led Heidemarie to rise up three years later. At the age of eighteen, she had grown weary of his oppressive governance. Even the noble class, equally discontented, rallied behind Heidemarie. Together, they toppled the capital and she assumed the throne.
It is said that the blood purge began after her ascension as Empress. While her brutality has become the focal point of current narratives, it is believed that her motive for conducting the purge was to implement fundamental reforms within the empire. According to the records of that era’s proceedings, one can perceive a certain political acumen behind her actions despite the bloodshed.
As there are scarce records concerning her personal life, the veracity of the prophecy remains uncertain. However, due to her infamous cruelty, many scholars hold the belief that the prophecy was indeed false.”
【Edwin Newlands】
A noble of the Kingdom of Dalmor, was a figure from approximately 200 years ago. More precisely, he belonged to the nobility of Cleveland, a region that constituted the Kingdom of Dalmor, but he also had royal blood flowing through his veins. He was the individual who led a rebellion against the reigning monarch of Dalmor at that time. A prophecy foretold, “This child will eventually be hailed as a hero.”
Cleveland was originally an independent nation but had a history of integration into the Kingdom of Dalmor. While the countries were different, they shared the same sovereign in a union known as a personal union, which had endured for a long time. However, when the King of Dalmor at that time sought to formally integrate Cleveland into Dalmor, a rebellion ensued. Edwin was regarded as the ringleader of this so-called War of Independence.
Edwin came perilously close to capturing the capital city of Dalmor, but due to the disparity in resources and manpower, he was defeated. He was captured and executed on charges of treason at the young age of twenty-five.
Perhaps due to this, he is known as a “hero” in Cleveland. However, within the former territories of the Kingdom of Dalmor, he is remembered as a “rebel.” Consequently, while one could consider the prophecy to be true, considering his legacy as a “rebel” casts doubt on its veracity.
Interestingly, following his death, Cleveland eventually faced financial difficulties and was ultimately formally integrated into the Kingdom of Dalmor.
【Marcelin de Laurier】
Marcelin de Laurier hailed from the Kingdom of Laurier, a figure from about a century ago, and the eldest prince of the reigning monarch at the time. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about him, except for the fact that he met his untimely demise at the tender age of fifteen, a victim of poisoning. The prophecy surrounding him whispered, “This child shall bring turmoil to this land.”
Perhaps due to this prophecy, he was constantly under the watchful eye of his father. It is widely believed that the one who orchestrated his poisoning was a close aide to the king.
However, with the assassination of Marcelin, the sole male heir among the king’s offspring, the Kingdom of Laurier was thrown into a succession crisis, plunging into political turmoil. Consequently, there emerged differing opinions among scholars as to whether the prophecy had indeed come true. Some argue that it holds undeniable truth, while others remain skeptical, creating a division within the academic community.
【Nicholas of Dalmor】
Nicholas of Dalmor, the former crown prince of the Kingdom of Dalmor, was a figure from about twenty years ago, the eldest son of the then King of Dalmor (the maternal grandfather of Nicolette). He was known for his reforms in governance, military, and education, as well as his efforts to protect the industries. Sadly, he met his demise on the battlefield due to illness, at the age of forty. It was prophesied, “This child shall herald a new era to the world.”
Renowned for his reforms in administration, military, education, and industrial protection, Nicholas was said to be a skilled strategist despite his frail health. Although his swordsmanship and archery skills were average, it is believed that his exceptional command abilities compensated for any shortcomings.
There were speculations that he might ascend to the throne while his father, the reigning King of Dalmor, was still alive. However, fate had a different plan, and he passed away before that could happen. As for the prophecy, even skeptics who doubt the authenticity of other predictions acknowledge the veracity of Nicholas’s prophecy.
Until the emergence of the “Cruel Emperor” Wolfgang, he was the most feared figure on the battlefield—a man known as the “Harbinger of Change through Slaughter.” In fairness to his reputation, it should be noted that there is no factual evidence to suggest that Nicholas engaged in wanton killing.
【Nicolette de Laurier】
Nicolette hailed from the Kingdom of Laurier, and she was the granddaughter of her maternal grandfather. She was the second princess of the Laurier Kingdom, destined to be married off to the Heinzel Empire and become the Empress to Emperor Wolfgang. A prophecy whispered, “This child will destroy her father.”
Due to the prophecy, she was imprisoned in a monastery by her own father. Eventually, she was married off to the empire, ascending to the position of Empress. After her union, a war erupted between the empire and Laurier, and as a consequence, Nicolette’s father, the King of Laurier, abdicated the throne. This prompted some to believe that the prophecy had indeed come true, for the Laurier King had been “overthrown.” However, since the Laurier King had not truly “perished,” there were those who believed the prophecy to be false.
Nevertheless, it remains an undeniable fact that Nicolette’s marriage to the empire triggered a war between the Kingdom of Laurier and the Heinzel Empire. In that sense, one could argue that the prophecy held some truth after all.

“What are you writing?”
A hand reached down from above and snatched the parchment from Nicolette’s grasp. “Ah!” she exclaimed, standing up in pursuit of the stolen parchment.
“I’m sorry… but I feel like it’s already coming together,” the culprit, none other than her husband, Emperor Wolfgang of the Heinzel Empire, responded.
“I was just about to finish it!” -Nicolette
“I apologize… but I have a sense that it’s already complete.” -Wolfgang
“I’m about to start my analysis.” -Nicolette
Nicolette looked up at Wolfgang, her husband, with a pouty expression as she retrieved the parchment. Wolfgang chuckled and returned the parchment to her, gently caressing her cheek and planting a kiss on her.
“How are you feeling?” -Wolfgang
“I’m fine. After all, it’s our second child.” -Nicolette
Nicolette sat back down in her chair as Wolfgang placed a hand on her shoulder, looking up at him with a smile. Being pregnant with their second child, Nicolette was still under close watch and rarely ventured out alone. With her growing belly, she had no desire to go out on her own anyway.
Wolfgang narrowed his eyes and smiled, gently stroking Nicolette’s belly. “Ticklish,” she complained.
“So, are you really summarizing the prophecies?” -Wolfgang
As Wolfgang pulled an empty chair closer to himself, he inquired, and Nicolette nodded.
“Well, with this, no one can stop me.” -Nicolette
“Well, if you were to attempt an explosion experiment, I would normally stop you with all my might.” -Wolfgang
“Ngh…” -Nicolette
Nicolette pursed her lips, but quickly regained her composure and spoke.
“It seems I’m not the only one who wanted to study the prophecies. There were several books in the palace library.” -Nicolette
Wolfgang glanced at the stack of books piled up. He had noticed it before, but hadn’t commented on it. Nicolette’s room was overflowing with books.
“So, as Nicolette’s interpretation, what exactly are these prophecies?” -Wolfganf
“Well…” Nicolette took another look at the parchment. She thought they could be categorized into four types: prophecies fulfilled by one’s own power, prophecies whose fulfillment is unknown, prophecies that could be interpreted in either way, and prophecies that were fulfilled as a result without any action taken by oneself. Nicolette’s grandfather, Nicholas, belonged to the first type, accomplishing them with his own power. Nicolette herself fell into the latter category, where the prophecies were fulfilled as a result.
From these observations, she deduced, “Prophecies are probably an indication of one’s potential. Like, ‘If this person were to become serious, they could accomplish something like this.’”
“Potential?” -Wolfgang
“Yes, potential. It’s like saying that if that person were to become serious, they could achieve something like this.” -Nicolette
“…” -Wolfgang
Unconvinced, Wolfgang fell silent. Nicolette herself felt that it was somewhat far-fetched.
“Prophecies probably come true because they follow the course set by the prophecies. In my case, maybe it was just a coincidence that my father’s actions happened to align with the prophecies.” -Nicolette
“So, coincidences can also lead to the fulfillment of prophecies.” -Wolfgang
“That’s the only way I can explain it. Of course, there are also arguments that my prophecies haven’t truly materialized, but I think it’s close enough to the prophecies.” -Nicolette
“Well, indeed…” -Wolfgang
While listening to Nicolette’s passionate explanation, Wolfgang responded with a slightly distant nod. Although it was Wolfgang who confronted Nicolette’s father with the final warning, Nicolette was also involved, so he couldn’t definitively say that it was “not according to the prophecy.”
“Perhaps, there are cases where the recipient of the prophecy and the executor of the prophecy are different.” -Nicolette
Nicolette smiled as she said that.
The prophecy hinted at the potential within each individual. Considering Nicolette’s circumstances, it was indeed a situation that could potentially bring about the downfall of her father. Perhaps, it wasn’t Wolfgang, who acted as Nicolette’s representative, but Nicolette herself who held the power to bring about her father’s ruin.
Determining the validity of a prophecy is never an easy task. Whether the prophecy becomes true or not depends solely on one’s own choices.
