Day 2
“Hey, rookies, it’s a fine morning, aint it? How’d ya sleep?” -Glen
“Rough, but more than that, two of the damn brats you pushed too hard are dead.” -Ur
“They’re still breathing though. Alright, today, you’ll be in the dungeon starting this morning. Go kill some monsters. Your goal is twenty kills.” -Glen
“But that’s double what we did last time.” -Ur
“Well then, how about we go for a run instead? You can keep running ‘til the sun sets.” -Glen
“I’ll be off then.” -Shizuku
“You two, aim for thirty kills.” -Glen
“I’m gonna puke.” -Ur
7 trainees dropped out, leaving 15 remaining.”

Day 3
“Oh, it’s a bunch of lifeless bodies. Are they even alive?” -Glen
“What the hell is the person who killed them talking about?” -Ur
“Well, what can ya do about it? Today’s a day off, a day off. No point in overworking yourself. Might end up dead.” -Glen
“…Instructor, what is that thick book you have there?” -Shizuku
“While resting the body, exercise the mind. Knowledge of monsters will only aid in self-preservation.” -Glen
“Well, I suppose studying is better than wandering between life and death…” -Ur
“On that note, if you fuck up on the test, I’ll kill you.” -Glen
“Is it not enough for you unless life and death are at stake?” -Ur
Five trainees dropped out, leaving ten remaining.

Day 4
“Hey, you little shit! What the hell are you sleeping for?!” -Glen
A powerful kick struck Ur’s abdomen, causing him to wake up with groans and vomit.
On the training ground, Glen announced that they would engage in simulated combat where all the trainees would face off against him, resulting in a chaotic situation. Seconds later, Ur’s consciousness was blown away.
When he opened his eyes, all he saw was a sea of corpses, surrounded by people writhing in pain. Ur had no idea how this had happened or how things had ended up in such a state.
“If yall’re this useless, there’s no way you’ll become adventurers. Get up, you worthless pieces of trash,” Glen shouted.
Ur had no energy left to protest, not even to raise his voice. Judging by Glen’s relentless kicking of his right leg, it seemed he had planned to kick everyone until they stood up. It was terrifying.
Perhaps it would be better to just keep getting kicked and thrown around. Such thoughts crossed Ur’s mind, but then there was movement.
“…Mm.”
Someone had risen. It wasn’t Ur. It wasn’t any of the other trainees either. It was Shizuku, the girl with silver hair that didn’t fade even when covered in mud, possessing a beautiful countenance. Of course, Glen showed her no mercy either. He punched her, kicked her, and threw her to the ground.
However, she was the first to get up, despite the pain. With a resolute gaze, she stared back at Glen.
“…Women have more guts, don’t they? You sorry bunch of losers.” -Glen
“【Sing, O Frost, and Pierce】.” -Shizuku
With her hands clasped together, she chanted a mysterious song, and icy blades materialized. Several sharp icicles danced in the air, precisely aimed at Glen, heading straight toward him. It was a merciless spell, devoid of hesitation. But Glen laughed.
“Your spell accuracy is good, and your lack of hesitation ain’t bad either, but…” -Glen
Glen swung his fist. He had no special equipment, just a simple strike. With that movement alone, the approaching icicles shattered into pieces.
“Well…” -Glen
Shizuku’s eyes widened, and Glen shrugged his shoulders.
“Your aim is too simple. But more importantly, your magical power is fundamentally lacking. You’re too fragile.” -Glen
“What can I do to become stronger?” -Shizuku
“Devour magical power and transform it into your own flesh and blood. Kill monsters and use it a bunch.” -Glen
“I see… In that case…” -Shizuku
She poised herself to cast magic, but in the next moment, Glen had reached her and sent her flying with a slap, rolling her on the ground. As she tried to get up, Glen pursued her, slapping and crushing her.
“A mage without someone to defend ‘em is just a sandbag! Where’s your balls? You gonna keep sleeping while this woman gets beat?” -Glen
“Gu…!” -Ur
Ur stood up. He spat out blood as he struggled to his feet, his vision shaking, making it difficult to stand straight. Glen laughed at this sight and said,
“Take a deep breath, gather strength in your abdomen, and exhale your fatigue.” -Glen
Ur followed his instructions. He took a deep breath and exhaled. He felt a slight warmth in his lower abdomen. His trembling body improved slightly, and he faced forward. There, he saw Glen’s fist.
“Then, die.” -Glen
Three trainees dropped out, leaving only seven remaining.
